Dean Elgar to retire from international cricket after India Tests

Former South Africa captain Dean Elgar has announced his retirement from international cricket. Elgar will retire after the two-Test series against India, commencing on December 26. He made his debut in 2012 and has played 84 Tests, scoring 5,146 runs at 37.28. Elgar has 13 centuries and 23 fifties to his name. He also had a successful stint as South Africa's Test captain, winning nine out of 19 matches. South Africa's director of cricket, Enoch Nkwe, praised Elgar's dedication and fearlessness.
